Bully: A Fall Away Novel (Hot Guy: Jared)

Author: Penelope Douglas
Hot car. Drag Racer. Asshole. Bad Boy. Strong. Bully. Do you want to read it yet? When I heard the guy in this book was a drag racer, I was like I NEED TO READ IT, ASAP! Jared was possibly one of my favorite guys in all the books I've read (I've read a lot of books, just saying). I first judge this book by its name: Bully. I thought it was going to be about a girl being bullied and, eventually, she does something about it. Well, let me tell you it was about that, and much more!

"I want to feel what's mine. What's always been mine."

Tatum, aka Tate, is the protagonist, she began being bullied by her longtime childhood friend, Jared, in high school and didn't know how her relationship with Jared went from friend to bully. Okay, I need to admit that I knew that something had happened to Jared so that he would drastically change his attitude toward Tate. Something did happen, but you need to read the book to find out! Just to clarify, you don't get anecdotes of Jared and Tate's childhood, the characters just remember certain things and mention them. I kind of liked that about this book because the timeline of this book stayed consistent and this made it easier to savor the book and the developing relationship even more!

I know many readers hate Jared in the beginning, but just persevere and continue reading; he is so worth it! He makes you hate him for the majority of the book, but at the end you forget about everything he did and end of loving him.

"Yesterday lasts forever, tomorrow comes never, until you."

Tate was also a badass. She went from being this weak girl, to somebody that speaks up and stands up against her bullies. I commend her for the strength, but didn't like her mentality. She constantly told herself that she would not allow Jared to put her down, and then she would! I know this was for the sake of the story, so either way, I like Tate.
I would advise you to clear your schedule before you start reading because you won't want to put this book down.
