Billionaire Bachelors Club has come to an end! The third and final book of the Billionaire Bachelors Club, Savor, was released TODAY and I did not sleep until I finished. I just had to finish it because the anticipation was killing me. Anyways, its done, and I am disappointed. I loved Crave and Torn, both books were absolutely delightful to read. Moreover, Monica Murphy is an exceptional writer and has become one of my favorite authors. As I already mentioned I was disappointed with Savor. It was not a good ending to the series.
"These subtle changes made me notice all of the little things-- like the color of her eyes (blue), how her hair looks (like silk and I want to touch it), and the tempting fullness of her lips (they're fucking spectacular)."
Bryn is Matt DeLuca's secretary. In the previous books there were hints that she would be his love interest, and she was. Early on you discover that Bryn likes to downplay how people perceive her by dressing down, making herself look unappealing. She has reasons for doing this but I personally thought those reasons were not good enough. Bryn doesn't want to be judge by her looks. I get this, but I still felt like this excuse was bullshit. She was not a relatable character, she is actually one of the least relatable characters I've ever read about. Also, Bryn is very self-conscious, as you can imagine, but it was annoying. She is ashamed of her past and her roots, which is another characteristic that really bugged me. I did not like Bryn.
"He approaches my desk, and I feel a little dizzy. He smiles at me, and my heart skips about five beats."
Matt! MATTY! I love him. It is hard for me to find faults in male characters. Bad, I know. Matt is an ex baseball player (HOT!) who wants to prove that he is better than his dad. Totally understand him, his dad is complete douchebag. The only thing I found unnerving was that Matt, or as I like to call him, Matty was contained. He didn't go after what he wanted, it took Matt and Bryn A WHILE to actually kiss. I respect their self-restraint but it made the book loooooooong and boring.
"All I can do is savor. Savor the sensation of his mouth on mine, his fingers digging into the fabric of my dress, my skin."
THE BET! Am I the only one who is upset that Archer and Gage did not pay the million dollars? A bet is a bet and they obviously have more than enough money so they should pay off. The extension of the bet was also upsetting, ugh men and money!
"You're right." Unable to resist any longer, I lean in and press a soft kiss to her tempting lips. "I'm crazy for you, Bryn."
The previous couples have small cameos and I couldn't help but smile at the mention of them. The progression of their relationship was fun to read about in the previous two books but it fun to see the happily ever after scenes.
If you've read the previous two books then finish off the series with Savor. It wouldn't hurt anyone if you attempted to read this, it was OKAY, and honestly this book doesn't make me love Monica Murphy any less!
