REVIEWRyder and Brinley have a history together that started in high school. He was her first kiss but ruined it afterwards. She had never forgotten the embarrassment he put her through and, now, they're in the same college. Brinley has managed to avoid him until her best friend, Mason, takes her to a party.
Brinley thinks she hates Ryder, but she doesn't. She has it bad for the guy, really bad. She's unable to function every time he enters every scene.
Ryder has changed since high school. He has a lip ring (HOT) and some tattoos. He's also slept with lots of girls. However, he never forgot Brinley, she was his best kiss and he messed it up afterwards. Ever since her, he has found every girl lacking.
I liked the overall plot. Brinley and Ryder had it bad for each other, so, yeah, the chemistry was there. However, I felt like Brinley could have stayed mad for Ryder a little bit longer! If she resisted him for a ONE more chapter, I would have been satisfied. Ryder does something stupid towards the end and, once again, I felt like it could have been resolved better. Those were the only two instances I felt it was a bit lacking.
Ryder is so perfect! He's suffered so much and feels like he isn't good enough for her. I usually hate when the hero things like this, but I actually felt it tied the story together really well! This story was only told in Brinley's point of view and I would love to read Ryder's because it would give us some more insight on him.
I really NEED to read Fallon's story because that girl is a complex female. FYI Fallon is Brinley's roommate. She sleeps with every male she can but you can tell she want more! I can't wait for the next book of the series to come out! I will keep you posted on it!
