Reaper's Stand Blog Tour (Review+Excerpt+Giveaway)

HOLY COW! I'm so in love (and a little bit obsessed) with MCs. There is just something about their swagger and dirty mouth that makes me get all hot and bothered! :) Anyways, after reading Reaper's Stand I feel like doing two things. First, I want to watch Sons of Anarchy all over again! Second, I want to read MORE Joanna Wylde.

I've been waiting for this novel for a while now. I read all three books earlier this year and I just couldn't wait get my hands on Picnic's novel! I even put the release day on my calendar! I'm telling you,it was worth the wait.

Picnic is the President of the Reaper's MC. He's been through a lot over his lifetime. He lost his wife to cancer and had to raise his two daughter all while being in charge of a motorcycle club. He's known for sleeping around and being a asshole and he doesn't try to deny it. I thought I wasn't going to like Picnic, I thought I would at least have a degree of dislike for him because I really didn't care for him in the previous novels. However, all my preconceived dislikes for him were irrelevant because I really got to see him here as a man, more than just the President of Reaper's.

He has it bad for London. He's had it bad for her for a couple of months and when the opportunity presents itself to have her closer, he takes it. I love him and his dirty mouth. He's a hot piece of ass! :) However, don't forget that he is THE president of the MC and his priority is taking care of them.

London also hasn't had the easiest life. Her life revolves around cleaning other's messes and trying to raise the teenage girl, who's not hers. She really doesn't have time to complicate her life, but Picnic is very hard to resist. I really don't know how she resisted him for as long as she did, I wouldn't have been able to!

Picnic and London both have to deal with some problems. The drug cartel gets involved and things get complicated. Both were very stubborn in their own way, but with each other they were absolutely perfect. They both showed a compassionate side that they don't normally show.

“Okay, let’s get some shit straight and then you can head out.” Great, here it came. The
Talk. Fortunately I was ahead of him for once.

“Don’t worry, Reese. I know this was just a one-off for you, and that you don’t want a
relationship. That’s what I needed, too, so in a way it’s perfect. No harm, no foul. We can
just pretend this never happened.”
A scowl covered his face. “What the fuck are you talking about?”
“Us. Or rather, the fact that there isn’t an ‘us.’ I get it—you like to sleep around. I had a good
time, but I’m not expecting a ring or anything.”
His eyes widened, and I smirked.
“Although I’ll be around if you want another booty call,” I added slyly.
Yay me! I’m a sophisticated woman who knows the difference between love and sex.
Reese’s scowl grew deeper, and then suddenly he moved and I was under him, pinned
down against the bed. He pulled my hands up, holding them prisoner above my head.
“Are you fucked in the head?” he demanded harshly. “You get laid for the first time in years,
it’s phenomenal—”
“Well, aren’t you the modest one?”
“It’s phenomenal,” he repeated, emphasizing the word heavily. “And now you’re just going to
ignore me? I am not fuckin’ down with that.”
