I'm a big fan of Layla Hagen's work. I've read the previous novel in this series, Lost in Us, and I fell in love with the way she is able to tell her story through a very relatable plot. I love books like this one.
I have to admit that I was not a huge fan of Jessica in the previous novel. She was kind of annoying. However, in this book Jessica shows a vulnerable side. She hasn't had an easy life, but she makes it work. She's a very positive, hard working woman. She has a lot to deal with but somehow she makes it all work.
Parker. Damn. I love British boys in novels and in real life. Parker is absolutely delicious. ;) It takes him a while to admit his feelings for Jessica, a long while, but aside from that he was a fun hero to read about. He's a very serious man, but Jessica adds color to his life. I felt like his reasons for why he couldn't sell the company were not strong enough! That was really the only thing that bothered me.
Parker and Jessica makes things work. As different as they are, they are perfect for each other. As much as I've enjoyed the novels in this series, I'm looking forward for the third installment! OHH MY! I have really high expectations for that one! Can't wait!
